Regional office of Rennes
The operational area of the Rennes regional office corresponds to that of the specialized interregional jurisdiction (JIRS) of Rennes (covering the courts of appeal of Angers, Caen, Poitiers, and Rennes).
The office has four employees: a director of judicial registry services (head of the office), a senior clerk, an investigator coordinator, and a contractual staff member.
Under the jurisdiction of the specialized interregional courts, the regional branches have the following tasks:
- to record, monitor, and enforce seizure and confiscation decisions in their geographic area (both stock and flow cases);
- to assist investigators and judges in their area;
- to train investigators, judges, and clerks in their area;
- to participate in allocating movable property to investigative and judicial services;
- to build innovative partnerships with courts and investigative services to enhance the system;
- to send courts the annual statistics on seizures and confiscations so they can gauge their activity in this area.
