Submit a Compensation Request
Published on : June 11, 2026
What are the conditions for submitting a compensation request?
Civil parties who have been awarded damages by a final judgment or ruling can request compensation from our services using the assets belonging to the convicted person, which are managed by the agency.
They must meet two conditions in accordance with the provisions of Article 706-164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure:
- First, their request must be submitted within 6 months from the final decision granting damages, or it will be considered inadmissible.
- Second, the request must be sent by registered letter to the following address: AGRASC, Compensation Service, 98-102, rue de Richelieu, 75002 Paris.
Additionally, the debtor's assets must have been subject to a final decision of confiscation or non-restitution or have become state property under the last paragraph of Article 41-4 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
Please note, the agency does not have a public reception desk and only issues compensation via bank transfer. Below, you will find a document that outlines the necessary items to submit to Agrasc. Given the strict time limit for filing a compensation request, the agency allows any initially missing documents to be sent later by mail or email, especially the copy of the decision and the certificate of non-appeal.
