Regional office of Bordeaux
The area covered by the Bordeaux regional office corresponds to that of the specialized interregional jurisdiction (JIRS) of Bordeaux (under the jurisdictions of the courts of appeal of Agen, Bordeaux, Limoges, Pau, and Toulouse).
The office has four staff members: a director of judicial registry services (head of the office), a court clerk, an investigator coordinator, and an administrative assistant.
Under the authority of the specialized interregional courts, the regional branches have the following duties:
- record, monitor, and enforce seizure and confiscation decisions within their geographic area (both stock and flow cases);
- assist investigators and judges in their area;
- train investigators, judges, and clerks in their area;
- take part in assigning movable property to investigative and judicial services;
- build innovative partnerships with courts and investigative services to enhance the system;
- send courts the annual statistics on seizures and confiscations so they can assess their activity in this area.
