Regional office of Paris
The intervention area of the Paris regional office corresponds to that of the Paris specialized interregional jurisdiction (JIRS), covering the appellate courts of Bourges, Orléans, Paris, and Versailles.
The office employs eight people: a director of judicial registry services (head of the office), three chief clerks, one clerk, an administrative assistant, a senior administrative assistant from the Council of State, and a senior administrative officer.
Under the jurisdiction of the specialized interregional courts, the regional branches have the following tasks:
- to record, monitor, and enforce seizure and confiscation decisions in their geographic area (both stock and flow cases);
- to assist investigators and judges in their area;
- to train investigators, judges, and clerks in their area;
- to participate in allocating movable property to investigative and judicial services;
- to build innovative partnerships with courts and investigative services to enhance the system;
- to send courts the annual statistics on seizures and confiscations so they can gauge their activity in this area.
