Regional office of Nancy
The operational area of the Nancy regional office matches that of the Nancy Specialized Interregional Jurisdiction (JIRS), covering the appeals courts of Besançon, Colmar, Dijon, Metz, and Nancy.
The office employs four people: a director of judicial registry services (head of the office), a senior court clerk, an investigator coordinator, and a contract staff member.
Under the jurisdiction of the specialized interregional courts, the regional branches have the following tasks:
- to record, monitor, and enforce seizure and confiscation decisions in their geographic area (both stock and flow cases);
- to assist investigators and judges in their area;
- to train investigators, judges, and clerks in their area;
- to participate in allocating movable property to investigative and judicial services;
- to build innovative partnerships with courts and investigative services to enhance the system;
- to send courts the annual statistics on seizures and confiscations so they can gauge their activity in this area.
